DOH: No need to avoid hospitals where coronavirus patients are confined

There is no need to avoid hospitals where patients who tested positive of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) are confined as these health institutions are well-equipped to handle Covid-19 patients, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.

In a press briefing at the Palace, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III also said the DOH will disclose the names of the hospitals where Covid-19 patients are admitted.

Duque said this move was meant to combat fake news.

As of 1 pm, there are 41 patients under investigation for possible Covid-19 infection, according to Duque.
