Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Chief for Administration Lt. Gen. Camilo Cascolan will temporarily be the officer-in-charge (OIC) of the national police force following the helicopter crash on Thursday that injured PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa and seven others.
Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Ano, who appointed Cascolan as OIC, said the latter will hold the aforementioned post until Gamboa is still not on full duty status.
The Special Investigation Task Group “Bell 429” will go to the crash site on Mar. 6, Friday, to start the probe.
Meantime, PNP acting spokesperson Maj. Gen. Benigno Durana said the PNP also tapped the help of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines for the investigation.
