Sen. Gordon: Chinese using dead Filipino identities

Senator Richard Gordon disclosed on Monday that he received information that Chinese nationals are “assuming” the identities of deceased Filipinos with the help of corrupt local civil registry personnels.

Gordon shared the information the day after his prior statement saying China may be using Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) for intelligence gathering—bringing excessive money to fund it in the country.

The Malacañang urged the senator to share his information on his claims that POGO hubs were being used for intelligence gathering.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo welcomed Gordon's claims on Tuesday saying that the senator should relay what he knows to the governement so that they can “do something about it.”
