22 repatriates from Wuhan receive cash aid from DSWD

A total of 22 repatriates from Wuhan, China received a P10,000 financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), according to the agency's press release on Monday.

The repatriates, who left Wuhan due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), completed their 14-day quarantine at the Athletes' Village in New Clark City.

Aside from the financial aid, DSWD social workers interviewed the families to evaluate and determine other services that could be given as the repatriates return to their hometowns.

Further, DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista issued a directive to the agency's field offices nationwide to identify centers and residential care facilities under their jurisdictions that can be tentatively used as quarantine areas.
