Commuters in Metro Manila on Monday experienced difficulty in riding public utility vehicles (PUVs) following the government's order to impose a limited number of passengers in all PUVs in compliance with the health department's advise to strictly observe social distancing amid the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
In Paranaque City, commuters were seen flocking a bus as there was an apparent lack of PUVs with free space for passengers.
However, some of the commuters, although they experienced difficulty riding PUVs, said they still support the government's move to implement measures to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Meantime, another commuter said it was necessary to wake up earlier than usual, expecting that it will be difficult to ride PUVs starting this week amid the imposed lockdown and social distancing.
