The University of the Philippines (UP) scientists conducted a demo on Friday showing concerned medical practioners the proper use of their newly-approved COVID-19 test kit for possible nationwide detection of the virus.

The demo was held in a close-door meeting together with various heads of Philippine General Hospital.

University of the Philippines Danilo Conception said training the “frontliners” on the technical proficiency is of utmost importance to adress the growing threat of the outbreak.

He also shared that 6,000 of their GenAmplify kits can be produced in a week.
