Metro Manila motions 'Oplan Wisik,' 'Oplan Dilig' to counter Covid-19 outbreak


The Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) began pavement disinfection operations to contain the spead of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

MDRRMO members disclosed operations started Monday evening and is set to finish by Sunday.

As of Friday, 'Oplan Wisik' reached Ayala, Makati.

Three firetrucks were deployed and used water-based disinfectant along the Univcersity Belt, Manila City Hall, Taft Avenue, Jones Bridge and other areas in the metro.

Hospitals and schools were also disinfected.

Meantime, the etirety of NCR is placed under lockdown under the mandate of the President and the Department of Health prompted by the virus outbreak reaching code red sub level 2 on Thursday afternoon.
