DepEd bars live interview as meeting participant tests COVID-19 positive

The Department of Education (DepEd) released in an official statement that they will not entertain live interviews by concerned officials as one of their meeting participants tested positive of the new coronavirus disease. (COVID-19)

As of Thursday noon, none of DepEd's officials and personnel exhibited symptoms of the virus but the department continues to adhere to the Department of Health's precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the people.

Meantime, Education Secretary Leonor Briones is now under home quarantine.

All DepEd officials or personnel who are exhibiting symptoms of the virus are advised to coordinate with DepEd Task Force COVID-19 for guidance on what actions are necessary for their condition.
