Marikina City announced 4 additional coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases in their city bringing the total number of people infected to 5.
Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro made the announcement on Wednesday and said the patients mostly have travel history and direct contact with people positive of the virus.
The four new COVID-19 cases include: a 86 year-old Filipino American-citizen male together with his wife, an 82 year-old female—both are confined in a hospital while two other people who lived with the couple are now in quarantine in their homes in Marikina.
The 86 year-old Filipino American-citizen male is currently in critical condition.
Teodoro added the Filipino American citizen exhibited symptoms of pneumonia on March 6 and tested positive of the deadly virus on March 9.
